I don’t watch “traditional TV” but I have YouTube playing whenever I’m in-between building something. I download YouTube videos to play in the background when I am working on something or doing a chore. I have a TV in the bathroom specifically for YouTube when I’m in the shower or bath.
You could say - I watch/listen to a lot of educational materials.
Here are my favorite - ordered by value in each category (top is most valuable).
💵Finance/Investing
Specifically Daniela Cambone - She interviews great people, lets them speak. One of my go-to finance channels. Keep in mind Daniela moves channels (previously Stansberry Research channel).
Legit guy, a bit drawn out. Sounds like an American Living in England. Good insights into current financial affairs. Vast knowledge.
David Lin - A male version of Daniela, also moves channels.
Doug Casey - is the man. In my opinion Doug has the right investment philosophy to carry us forward for the next 2-3 decades. Study this man and absorb all of his information. Anarcho Capitalist, living part time in Argentina. Large net worth, contrarian - yes please.
Ray Dalio, founder of Bridgewater Associates - a well known investor. I’ve studied various pieces of his work and resonate with his thinking. I think his YouTube channel and books are worth digesting. Specifically topics around Long Term Debt Cycle and drawdown.
Mike Maloney - the guy whos hair got turned gray from investing in gold. He’s a clever guy, perhaps too early to place a bet. Well worth watching his earlier stuff on how the financial markets work. Also for absorbing his rendition on The Great Taking.
I love Kiyosaki - Rich Dad, Poor Dad. He is direct, honest and genuine. He has taught me a lot and still does. It feels like he is getting a bit old, but legend none the less. It feels like every interview nowadays starts with a mix of
The Commies
Buying his first gold in Vietnam
Woke
Mainstream media would love you to hate him. He’s the OG pharma bro. Martin is actually super interesting, funny, clever, should you choose to ignore what your overlords tell you what to watch and think.
Martin is border line a mix of entertainment, knowledge and current advice.
My channel :) Aimed at investing, thinking and hopefully some sounds of nature.
📈Business and Investing
I subbed to Alex back at 200k subscribers. I get the impression Alex is a lot like me, Carl Sagan, Feynman - finding it hard to intuitively get things, so methodically breaks things down into a play book.
To a complete noob - He’s the best I’ve heard about learning business. His 📕 books are great too - I’ll get some reviews out soon.
Very entertaining and quality information from people who have made a lot in business. I find the presenters get under my skin, but the quality and quantity of information keeps things good.
An English guy who is successful, he has great guests on and leads the conversation in a great way to unpack powerful knowledge. Highly recommended.
🟠Bitcoin
Firstly, not necessarily a channel but anything by Microstrategy’s founder and CEO - Michael Saylor. The guy is astonishingly good as a thinker. Some what as a financial philosopher - an area that I closely associate with. Seek out and absorb all of Saylor’s teachings which are scattered across time and space on YouTube. Honestly one of the most clever, deep thinking, analogy driven humans I have seen.
I’m going to refer to the following channel as his disciples.
Matthew Kratter - the best educator with a billion videos on every possible facet of Bitcoin. Highly recommended
Robert is a thicc Emo variant of the above two. A great thinker also.
🏡Real Estate
This is the gold standard for Real Estate. I listen to this for ideas, knowledge of current affairs and for entertainment purposes.
I really watch Ben for entertainment value and some greed inducing motivation.
🌍Countries
As one’s wealth increases, diversification and insurance become a thing. Andrew Henderson is a refreshingly unique character. He feels like a combination of 1950’s England, a 1930’s European Gentleman, old money, the Hamptons a businessman. His age is staggering given his presentation style, knowledge and conviction.
The Nomad Capitalist company is there to assist 6+ figure individuals in diversification across countries through multiple residencies, passports and citizenships.
If you value freedom, diversification, travel and culture you need to absorb all of their information.
I just finished his book 📕 to boot - review coming.
I’m studying a lot of Second world countries/Emerging markets for potential diversification. The Spanish language seems to be the commonality amongst them.
This couple travel around spain giving you great visibility of the culture, food, locations.
Laptop Seniors or Amelia and JP
This retired couple put great effort into their videos so you can get a first hand glimpse of what life is like in South America. 10-15 years ago it was very difficult to find things such as Google Street View or YouTube footage of countries that are not typical NATO.
🧙Self Development
Tom is another guy who really breaks down the heuristics of doing something and asks the deep, pressing questions. Tom covers a lot of great topics that I am interested in from health, food to investing and wealth creation.
The All In Podcast. A great combination of current events, cringe metrosexual billionaires, politics and a glimpse under the curtain as to what is going on behind the scenes in Silicon Valley.
Honestly I’m anti-politics and hate anything to do with Politics but I skip through that content on their show.
Naval is probably the most similar thinker to me that I have ever found. He is keenly interested in self development, wealth and being the best human you can be. I love his style, simplicity and observations.
A roll up, Coles Notes form of thinkers including Naval.
I hope you have found some of this useful. Please support my work by subscribing if you did!
