On his deathbed, Steve Jobs said: "Don’t educate your children to be rich, educate them to be happy so they know the value of things and not the price."

This article reminded me of this quote.

There's so many Boomers (and older GenXers) who have loads of money but who are running out of time.

A billion dollars is worth nothing to a man on his deathbed.

Time is the the only commodity that matters.

My goal in life is to die a penniless old man, surrounded by a large family who love me, who I love back.

And I hope to all who read my writings about money - Please know, for me, it is the love of the game, not the money. I've been fascinated by finances since I was in my early teens. A happy and loving family is worth a billion fortunes.

Steve Jobs also once said: "Material things lost can be found or replaced. But there is one thing that can never be found when it's lost—Life. Whichever stage in life you're in right now, with time, you will face the day when the curtain falls. Treasure love for your family, love for your spouse, love for your friends."

I lost $1.5 million worth of Bitcoin when my house burnt down when my wife was pregnant with my autistic daughter.

I could have made $2 million if I held my rental properties for 4 years instead of paying for my daughter's rehabilitation.

$3.5 million is nothing compared to the life, love and happiness of my family and I know I made the right decision to prioritize them over money.
